Aquanaut

Introduction

Aquanaut is a 60 feet Open-Style sport catamaran designed by Officina Armare with a purpose, in collaboration with U-Boat Worx.

The 60-foot (18.3-m) Aquanaut leaves four-wheel drive on land in favor of dual-hull navigation, bringing along more toys than an SUV ever could ever handle. What it bears in common with its land-based relative is a strong focus on bringing together adventure, luxury and explorative capability. Whether absorbing rays on the expandable sundeck or diving deep below waterline with the onboard submarine, passengers enjoy an incomparable mix of relaxation and recreation.

This advanced multihull luxury speeder, combining a sporty yet elegant appearance and modern solutions, featuring a large deck space, open bar and Al Fresco dining areas located on aft deck and foredeck.

Aquanaut will be built on order by the Turkish shipyard Licia Yachts. Estimated delivery time for the first unit will take 12 months to complete.

Performance & Comfort

Catamaran is equipped with dynamic inboard propulsion of 2×800 hp to offer an impressive speed potential of up to 45 kts and extreme stability at high speeds with the contribution of it’s Deep-V hydrodynamic design.

With luxurious onboard living accommodations for up to eight people, the Aquanaut can journey on through multiple sunsets and sunrises. Its purpose-built submarine docking platform ensures that its large size doesn’t keep onboard adventurers from exploring the nuances of its surroundings, allowing them to continue the journey to depths much greater than the main vessel is capable. The large deck space can be further expanded at anchor with bulwarks for a larger area to host parties or to simply enjoy the life at sea to the fullest.

Space & Storage

The efficiency of this catamaran reduces the number of crew members to minimum and keeps the accommondation to standarts of up to 12 guests. Family and friends can relax in convivial comfort by sinking into the generous seating and sunbeds and enjoy the professional open bar and al fresco dining after a long day of deep sea exploration thanks to the large galley units.

Features

Like an SUV loaded with bikes at the hitch and kayaks on the roof, the Aquanaut will carry other recreational and explorational toys, including Seabobs, diving gear and surfboards.

The large platform on the back for the submarine is equipped with hydraulics that can lower down the underwater craft when launching is required. The same space can be used as alounging / entertaining area when the submarine is in water and it can be lowered to water level and become the beach club as well.

Features

Aquanaut is able to explore the deep seas all around the world, thanks to advenced technologies that support efficient submarine operations and it’s private Nemo Submarine by U-Boat Worx.

Aquanaut’s stern platform holds the Nemo like an open-air garage, hydraulically lowering it down to the water when it’s time to deploy. The Nemo can leave the Aquanaut high above, diving down to 330 feet (100 m) below the surface and traveling for up to eight hours.

The Interior

The interior is designed to host up to eight people overnight in complete comfort and safety.

The foredeck features a large jacuzzi with a seamless sun bathing area and also second more intimate dining area for up to four guests.
